サボってたブログをまた始めます。

ちなみに、オーストラリアでは6ヶ月ホテルで働き、2ヶ月学校に通って今に至ってます。

 

で、6日前から仕事探しでシンガポールに来ています。せっかく、オーストラリアで英語を学んだんで、こっちで仕事してさらにスキルを伸ばそうと考え、ここまで着ましたが、現地採用なので、あまりそううまくいかない気配がしてきています。

 

これまでで気付いた現地採用のマイナス

・現地採用なので、シンガポール人と同じ基準になり、給料が低く、住宅補助などの福利厚生がない

・日本人を望まれての仕事なので、日本人に対しての仕事になってしまうので、仕事内容が限られ、日本語を使う仕事になる

・シンガポールの英語はシングリッシュと呼ばれるほどアクセントが強く、発音に関しての進歩は望めそうもない

 

プラス

・アセアン諸国に対してのビジネスの中心なので、海外でのビジネス経験をシンガポールに限らず、広く積めそう

・日本人社員数が少ないので、早く責任のある立場を任せてもらえそう

・なんだかんだいっても英語圏なので、英語を使うことには慣れそう

 

こんな感じですね。

これでもやりたいか？？ってところです。

I start my blog again. I had worked in hotel in Aus for 6 months, later I went to English school for 2 months and I am in Singapore now.

 

I started job hunting 4 days ago and I keep doing this. I have learned English for 2 years in Aus, so I intend to work in Singapore and improve English more. That's why I'm here, but it seems not so easy to make sure this hope. Let's see about pros and cons.

 

Negative aspect about work in Singapore

-I will be hired as employee in Singapore, so every work condition is same as Singapore employee it means salary is lower than Japan and no support for accommodation, etc.

-Company expect me as Japanese native, so probably my position need to work with Japanese customers or companies. It may hard to keep using English during the job.

-In Singapore, they call there English as Singlish. They have pretty much accent in English, therefore it is almost impossible to improve accent in English

 

Positive aspect

-Singapore is central of business in ASEAN countries, it may provide me many chances to work world wide.

-There are not so many Japanese in each company, so I might promote easier than Japan.

-English is first business language in here anyway, so I will accustom to use English.
